Bill and Lee Ann Bolinger live on a 3rd
generation ranch of Lee Ann's family located in the West Texas panhandle and
Eastern New Mexico. Bill was raised in South East Kansas. They met in
Houston, Texas in 1988 where Bill lived at the time and Lee Ann lived and
worked previously. They were married under a windmill on the ranch 4
months later. On the ranch, Bill and Lee Ann raise American Bison "
buffalo " and registered paint horses. While Lee Ann's in town at her
office, Bill takes care of the animals otherwise she is at the barn also.
Bill is a jack of all trades but spends most of his time these days with the
animals. Spring is probably the busiest with all of the new babies
arriving and the rebreeding of the mares. Currently, they care for
approximately 25 head of horses and 55 head of buffalo.
